Oh
yeah I'll tell you something I think you'll understand...In this era when
Beatles tribute bands abound, one stands out above the rest - SHOUT! Since
its inception in February of 1996, the band has made a quick and decisive
rise to fame. While some personnel changes have been made, founder Rae
Loeffler has made sure the group's subsequent
line-up matches and exceeds its previous quality. Many attribute the band's
popularity to its polished vocals, attention to detail in both performance
and persona, and the evident chemistry between its members. Whatever the
cause, SHOUT's celebrity shows no sign of slowing down.
Sought out for its memorable performances, SHOUT! has appeared at several
Detroit radio station events, including a fund-raiser organized by WCSX
Classic Rock for the victims of summer storms that tore through Hamtramck
in 1997. One of the highlights of 1998 was the group's performance at
the Smithsonian Institute in Washington D.C., where SHOUT! gave two acclaimed
performances accompanying a display of artwork from the world's most renowned
artists featuring creations with The Fab Four as the theme. The group
has even opened for well-known bands like Jefferson Starship, The Lovin'
Spoonful, and even Mitch Ryder. SHOUT's triumph at the Beatlefest Battle
of the Beatle Bands in Chicago two years in a row provides testament to
the group's stimulating reproduction of the famed British rock group.
A recent exhibit of Astrid Kirscherr's black and white photos of the Fab
Four at the Laurel Park Place Mall near Detroit featured a performance
by the tribute band and drew in hundreds of avid Beatle devotees, and
fans flocked to the Portage Firefighter's Association Annual Extravaganza
this summer to catch a glimpse of this fab group. Their fall tour of Wisconsin
had Beatle lovers dancing in the aisles at every venue they played!
